Highgate Extension

A refurbishment and extension of a Victorian semi-detached villa within the Highgate Conservation Area. Formerly occupied by a dental practice, the property comprised a series of dark, cellular rooms with little relationship to the garden. The project transforms the building into a light-filled family home.

The design centres on a generous kitchen and dining space with strong connections to the garden, supported by tucked away utility areas. Existing reception rooms were reconfigured to allow natural light from the rear to reach the darker rooms to the front. The upper floors were refurbished with new bathrooms to create more private family spaces above.
