The Summer House is located within the grounds of an old Coach House in the Lake District, enjoying views over the northern fells. Originally underused due to poor environmental performance, tired interiors, and structural issues, the building was stripped back to allow for structural repairs and thermal upgrades creating a comfortable, energy-efficient interior.
Designed as an occasional guest bedroom and study, the 25 sqm space is organised with bespoke joinery, including built-in storage, a kitchen, and a shower room. These installations create distinct areas for sleeping, cooking, washing, and relaxing, carefully preserving the views and making the most of the compact footprint.
